International credit cards

Contactless card using advanced chip technology which brings in convenience and simplicity for customers when making payment. To make contactless transactions, you just need to tap your card or wave it over the contactless symbol of the card reader. You don’t need to enter PIN/sign for small value transactions.​​​​​​​​

If your card is contactless card, you can find contactless symbol  on the front of the card.​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​Contactless card brings in many benefits:

• Faster payment compared to cash payment or using contact card which requires you to provide the card to cashier.
• For small value transaction, you do not need to sign/enter PIN, you just need to tap your card to make payment.
• The card is under your control since it’s always in your hands.
• You can keep the payment invoice, which is more efficient than using cash.

Convenient to use at café, fast food chains, petrol and many other places since you can pay faster than using cash.​

• ​To make it simple and convenient, merchants accepted contactless card do not request cardholder to sign/enter PIN for small transactions (less than 1 mil VND¹). However, to protect customers, all transaction valued from 1 mil VND will be required to enter PIN.
  
• This limit may change from time to time according to the regulations of the State Bank, International Card Organizations, Card Switching Organizations and / or Banks.

• ​You should protect your contactless card similarly to how you keep other cards.
• Please be ensure to keep it under your control and in a safe place.
• Do not put the card near contactless device
• Do necessary things to prevent unwanted transactions occurred when the contactless card still in the card holder.
  
• Keep checking transaction notifications from bank, inform the bank via Hotline 24/7 or contact branch/transaction office in case there’s unwanted transaction.

• You can pay at any merchants having contactless symbol by tapping your card. These merchants are usually fast food chains, supermarkets, convenient stores, cafe, petrol station, pharmacies…
  
• ​​​​​​​Currently, there’re VCB’s merchants accepted contactless payment including CGV, Starbuck, Highlands, Vinmart, BigC​... ​

​Yes, you can use contactless card at merchants that do not accept contactless payment by swiping the card or inserting the card as usual.​​​​​​​

You should put your card maximum 4 cm away from the card reader to make payment. It is recommended that you should put the card directly on contactless symbol for few seconds until transaction was completed.​​​​​​​​

• To make payment, your contactless card should be placed near card reader (less than 4 cm) and should be place at the right place on the card reader.
