From 19 April 2016 to 20 April 2016, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of Board of Directors of Vietcombank together with Executive Board’s representatives and heads of various departments at the headquarter had a business trip to Vientian capital - Laos to do a preparation survey for the establishment of Vietcombank’s subsidiary bank in Laos.
In the first day of the business trip, the delegation paid a courtesy visit with Vietnam’s Ambassador in Laos Nguyen Manh Hung.

Later, Vietcombank’s delegation visited Bank of The Lao PDR. The delegation had a cordial meeting here with Governor Somphao Phaysit and worked with Deputy Governor Vathana Dalaloy and some relevant departments.

At the meetings with the Ambassador, Governor and Deputy Governor, Vietcombank’s chairman Nghiem Xuan Thanh gave information about the formation and development and a number of Vietcombank's outstanding activities. He also shared his vision of Vietcombank’s network development in Laos.
In the framework of the business trip, the delegation from Vietcombank also had a meeting with Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Lao PDR.

During this trip, Vietcombank’s delegation visited a number of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos and had a cordial meeting with representatives of all Vietnamese commercial banks in Laos. The delegation also paid a courtesy visit with the chairman of Laos Foreign Trade Bank (BCEL ).
