In the morning of 22 April 2016, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) held a launching ceremony of small and medium-sized enterprise development fund (SMEDF).
Mr. Dang Huy Dong - Deputy Minister of MPI and Deputy Head of Central Economic Committee, Chairman of Board of Management of SMEDF; Mr. Nguyen Dong Tien - Deputy Governor of State Bank of Vietnam, member of SMEDF attended the ceremony. On the side of Vietcombank, Mr. Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy CEO attended the event.

As one of the banks trusted by SMEDF, in the forthcoming days Vietcombank is officially launching entrusted loan banking operations which aim at SMEs community with preferential interest rates from entrusted loan being 5.5%/year for short-term loans, 7%/year for medium and long term loans fixed throughout the loan term. It should be noted that the maximum loan is 70% of total investment capital and the maximum value is 30 billion VND (excluding working capital).

Besides Vietcombank’s own capital, Vietcombank is also actively searching for funding capital with reasonable cost from financial institutions at home and abroad such as JICA’s ODA, WB, ADB, entrusted loans ... to finance for SMEs. Entrusted loan from SMEDF is Vietcombank’s timely replenishment to meet SMEs’ increasing demand for investment loans.
