VIETCOMBANK WARNS OF RISK PREVENTION AND ELECTRONIC BANKING TRANSACTIONS SECURITY

Many phishing tactics have been widely warned by both banks and mass media. However, a large variety of crooks continue to use these tactics for phishing and many customers have been cheated.

​To protect customers’ information and personal property, Vietcombank warns clients of the following notes:​

SHOULD NOT​

1. Provide security information of electronic banking services, including password, OTP one-time transactions password, private email’s password to anyone and in any forms (text, answer the phone, direct disclosure...).​

2. Provide personal information unless customers proactively call hotline 1900 54 54 13 for assistance and Vietcombank asks for detailed information to identify customers.​

3- Get access to unreliable websites, or click any links that require clients to provide/ update personal information and electronic banking information. ​

4- Don’t log out/exit trading screen/website after stopping the service or complete online payment transactions.​

5- Select password saving mode, get access to Internet banking on common devices, public computers...​

SHOULD

1.Protect and change frequently access password of electronic banking services/card, email to protect your own transactions (minimum once per 03 months) and set password to ensure safety rules.​

2- Prioritize the use of personal computers installed with updated antivirus software to get access to Vietcombank’s electronic banking services.​

3. Select Logout or Exit system/screen after each visit or payment using cards for online transactions.​

4. Check with your bank to verify information through a 24/7 hotline: 1900 54 54 13 after receiving the prize notification calls.​

5. Sign up to use actively receiving messages service (active SMS) to receive notifications of changes related to personal account or card transactions as soon as the transaction is carried out and thus, manage, prevent and mitigate risks.​​​

6. Remember Vietcombank’s phone number of customer service call center 1900 54 54 13.​

7. Contact hotline 1900 54 54 13 or go to Vietcombank transaction offices or get access to VCB-iB@nking to cancel services if the phone is lost or you change your phone number that you register for online banking services.​

8. Read and comply with the trading guide regulations to ensure the safety and secutity of electronic banking services/card. ​

9. Call 24/7 hotline 1900 54 54 13 for assistance if there is any problems you need to share.​
